UAT air cooled roof top units are solution to provide comfort cooling/heating to large rooms such as department stores and warehouses.

Roof top units are available in heat pump (UATY) version. Supply and return air is distributed via ducts, enabling an optimised air distribution and only exposing the inlet and discharge grilles.

Easy and economical installation

• The unit is assembled, internally wired and charged with refrigerant in the factory and is subject to stringent test  operation before delivery. Only ducting, power line and drain piping are required on site, which greatly reduces installation costs and work. The unit is particularly compact and light, ensuring easy handling and installation.

Main components 

• The casing  is made of paintable galvanised steel plate, and anti corrosion treated. Since the unit is installed outdoors, the casing is completely weather proof. 

• The heat pump units UATY are equipped with a Daikin   scroll   compressor, ensuring high durability and low sound level. The recycling guard timer prevents frequent ON/OFF switching, and protects the compressor against overloads due to short cycling. 

• The microcomputer type deicer  is capable of sensing both refrigerant and outdoor temperature with its high sensible dual thermistors, and eliminates frost from the outdoor coil when outdoor temperature is low. Thus, the microcomputer type deicer not only saves unnecessary power, but also ensures constant comfortable heating. In addition, the deicer is capable of selecting defrosting cycles, longer or shorter depending on the volume of frost on the outdoor coil. 

• Evaporator & condenser: efficient cross fin coils are used: the unique waffle louvre fins maximise heat exchange 

  efficiency, while the Hi-X(a) copper tubes, featuring an inner spiral groove, fully exploits refrigerant turbulence to help increase heat exchange efficiency. The result is substantial energy savings. The fins are finished with special acrylic coating (PE fin), and highly resistant to corrosion due to acid rain, sea breeze, etc. 

• Remote control: a mechanical type of remote control is available as option (KRC17-2B). It encases a sensible thermostat to ensure accurate temperature control.
