Extended Fan Coil Range

Daikin Europe N.V. has extended its range of 2 and 4 pipe fan coil units with a new ducted model.

den798_FWB_fan coil unitDesignated FWB, the new unit is available in 9 capacities between 3 and 13kW and is intended to fit into the company’s existing range between the low ESP ceiling concealed/floor standing FWM model and high ESP large ceiling duct FWD model. Airflows vary from 500 to 1,350 m³/h with static pressures of 50 to 60Pa.      

The base unit is a 2 pipe unit complete with acrylic fibre filter and optionally fitted 2 or 3-way valves. An additional heating for 4 pipe operation or an electric heater bank can be added to the base unit. 

 

An exceptionally wide choice of unit selection possibilities to match varying operating sound and capacity requirements is ensured by the provision of 3,4 or 6 row finned heat exchangers and single, double or triple forward bladed centrifugal fans. Similarly, the availability of 7 factory pre wired fan speeds enables users to select the 3 optimum fan speeds to suit their application via the remote electronic controller. Special vibrating damper support to the centrifugal fan assembly enables sound power levels as low as 36dBA to be achieved at low fan settings on certain models.         

 

Up to 4 fan coil units can be regulated for single control via the Daikin master slave interface combined with the remote controller, which offers automatic fan speed selection based on the difference between set point and room temperatures.   

 

Industr_fancoilHeat exchangers are constructed from copper pipe and aluminium fins and hydraulic connection is provided with air purge on the left side of the unit, although this can easily be moved to the right side during installation. Heat exchanger and regulating valve condensate is collected in a large capacity drain pan, located off centre to reduce installation space requirements.   

 

All Daikin 2 and 4 pipe fan coil units are designed to complement the company’s extended water chiller range but can be integrated into any chilled water or LPHW system.
