Largest trade show in Gulf region
Dubai (United Arab Emirates) host the annual Big 5 Exhibition last 28 October through 1 November 2006. In its over 20-year history, the exhibition has grown from an event focused on water management held in a tent alongside the Dubai Creek to the largest trade show for the construction industry in the Arabian Gulf. Big 5 encompasses five major exhibitions – construction, water technology, air conditioning, cleaning and maintenance, glass and metal – under a single roof. The 2006 event showcased 2,892 companies from 67 countries, and have welcomed well 41,058 key buyers and decision-makers from the public and private sectors including architects, engineers, contractors and other specifiers. Feedback from exhibitors has been extremely positive, 72% rating the quality of visitors as good or excellent.
The 2006’s Big 5 proved, across all criteria, to be the biggest and most successful ever held in the long history of the event, breaking all records – it completely filled eight halls plus the Sheikh Rashid Hall, Sheikh Maktoum Hall, The Pavilion and the new Zabeel Hall. The Big 5 has once again showed why it is so highly rated and respected by the global building and construction industry.
Daikin continues to raise the stakes in the Gulf
Daikin Europe, featuring its new Sales Base in Dubai, was at the Big 5 in full force. VRVs, splits, Sky Air systems, air purifiers and controllers will be on display. Interactive demos was also featured. The Daikin Sales Office opened last March 2006 and is a part of Daikin’s commitment to providing the best in equipment and services to the Gulf region.
