At the heart of what we do
At the core of our heating and air conditioning systems are our heat pumps. Our heat pumps are capable of extracting warmth even when temperatures are below 0°C.
As air source heat pumps extract latent heat from the air. They offer a far more environmentally friendly and efficient way of providing heat than burning fossil fuels like oil or gas. Daikin strives continually to develop ever more environmentally friendly solutions for heating and cooling and we are at the forefront of the drive to find low Global Warming Potential (GWP) and/or natural refrigerants. Read more about air source heat pumps.
How heat pumps work
An air source heat pump extracts the latent heat from the air and transfers it into the building, through a process of evaporation and condensation. The process is 300% efficient, so efficient that air source and ground source heat pumps are classified as renewable energies. Read more about how heat pumps work.
Daikin's industry leading inverter technology allows Daikin systems to adjust heating and cooling output faster than systems that don't have an inverter. Removing temperature swings and reducing energy consumption by up to 30%. Read more about inverters.
